A Glimpse of the Glover's

3 years and counting

I got a picture of Jer Umpiring Baseball.  We went to hurricane (on our anniversary actually) and he did his thing while I tried to soak up a little sun.  Chase stopped in on his way to St George and kept me company for a little bit. It was nice to get a breather for a day and be able to go on a date with my hubby.  Can't believe it has been 3 years, but then again, I can't really remember life without him.  I'll spare the mushy mushy for all the weak stomachs that may be reading.  Just know I love you babe, Happy Anniversary to us!
Well we thought we were in for a nice, romantic, dinner for two... We ended up having a little company, but that's ok.  It was kind of funny because last year Chandler joined us for our anniversary and this year it was Chase.   Clayt, be ready cause it is your turn next year :)  The guy at the table behind us kills me.  He said he wanted to be facebook friends so I could tag him...sorry dude my facebook is gonzo for now.  I still love that he did that.  I recomend ya, come down to Benja's.  So yummy!

Chloe's first soccer game..  This girl is going to be an athlete, she has one strong KICK! And she is tough and she is not afraid to go after the ball.  The stubborn disposition she has is going to be great on the soccer field

She didn't let one ball go by her I was so proud

Her class has been learning about animals and they had to pick a final project to show the class at the end of the week.  Of course she had to bring in Jack.  She worked with Jack all week to show her class that she taught him what he is supposed to do if a car is coming towards him.   He is supposed to run away.  And that is exactly what he did.  He ran away from the toy car she kept bumping into him :) it was a hit and SO funny to watch all week.  She came up with this all on her own too.  Very creative Chlo!

She has never been so proud
I had to do it.  I couldn't pass it up.  Chloe is going to be so mad someday

#24 that's my boy.  He didn't have the best game scoring , but he did awesome on defense
Showing the them how it's done.  They beat Desert Hills by 30. The team is really fun to watch

Easter Weekend Part 2

Oh Kanab... How I love thee. I had to put this one on here for Lex.  I was trying to be creative and she made fun of me. I forgive her.  Because I do my share of making fun of her.   If I did Instagram this would have been one of my posts.  Then I would have taken a pic of a bumblebee.  Then a flower.  Then whatever it was I ate for dinner.  I love how technology is making us all so "artsy" these days! haha.... Now on to the good stuff.  After our fun day in Valley with the G-love's we ventured over the hill where the red dirt lies.  Kanab.  To the house that built me.  Oh I am on one I could keep going with this for hours, I better move on to the next pic

My parentals enjoying some of the yummy ribs Jerry made

Grandma Lydia also has a tramp that gets lots of use from the kids.  These two decided to put the sprinkler under it (without permission of course)  They had a blast.

little buggers were busting a move for us

I can't get enough of Carsyn.  She has thee cutest little munchkin voice ever.  And she talks and talks and talks some more. James just kinda looks at her and does the head nod like he is "too cool" to speak back but he understands her.  She is all girl and he is all boy.  I hope they are buddies forever
not even sure what to say about this one?

They bathed them all by themselves

we all went to the park.  I love action shots

We have hercules, a goddess, and Matt Brown here.  And g-ma and kenna too
For some reason we took a few to go in the "awkward" family photo file.  It took Kenna and Lex a minute to stop laughing but they got the hang of it
That's better girls... work it, work it

Easter Weekend Part 1

I have so many pictures from Easter weekend and the pics pretty much explain themselves.  Except for the pictures that don't explain themselves, therefore I will explain them myself.  Make sense?  It does to me, and that's what matters... I always talk about the traditions I had growing up, but here is another one.  We always have a scavenger hunt on Easter and this is the first one we have had with just us at our house.  This really has been a big past year for me, first my very own Christmas at home, and now my very own Easter at home...wow I am finally growing up! This wasn't near as fun as the scavenger hunts at the Cutler's house, but I think the Easter bunny did ok.  Hopefully with each passing year her poems and rhyming skills will get better.  They were a little "iffy" if you ask me!  Next year Mckenna will be able to drive (crazy) so I am sure they will find clues all over town just like we do in Kanab. This was their first clue and they really really tried to act excited as you can see.  James just wanted to stop and eat every bit of candy along the way, he didn't quite get it. He is so funny.

I should have saved all of the clues

They really were stumped on a couple of them because they really didn't make much sense.  I giggled and giggled behind the camera the whole time.  Look at my sweet baby James

The final prize was left in the M _ _  C_ V _   yep you got it.... Man Cave!  She even dropped a few little eggs for Jerry.  That bunny is so nice

After our fun morning we gathered up our stuff and headed to Orderville.  We had some fun stuff planned over there and I love the Easter traditions that the Glover's have.  They are so fun in fact, the day after Jerry and I got married, we left our honeymoon suite in Zion and drove over to join the fun. We couldn't miss out on the egg roll! Mostly we just wanted to see the family and spend some time with them since we were a little pre-occupied on our wedding day.  So many pictures, so many people, that kind of thing :) Anyways back to Easter... Aunt Jana, Kasen, and Daisha came (with a little bribe of Jerry's Ribs) Deanna and her family were there, and even Aunt Liz and Uncle Bret played with us for a little while. Here they are getting ready to color eggs

He is always a good helper.  Those wheelers needed a bath after the last time we took them and Parker was just the man for the job
You will always find at least one of the grand kids on this trampoline, usually 3 or 4 but from what Grandma Glover tells me it is as old as the hills.  All of her kids grew up jumping on it and it has weathered threw the decades for the grand kids.  I love the tree behind them too.  You cant see it in the picture but there are about 3 kites stuck in it.  This tree eats Grandmas kites.  I think it needs to be nicer to her :)

Yes, EVERYONE gets to color eggs. Annnnd what is an Easter without Jerry's "GOFE" egg.  It just would not be the same!

I love it when they all strike a pose.  Smiling is just too boring sometimes

Here we have the "winning" egg rolling trail.  Kenna and Jerry decided to team up this year and little by little everyone left their own  to come and help them.  They had jumps and tunnels galore.  It was pretty creative, but from what I have seen Jerry always brings all types of gadgets and tools to help him out.  Which doesn't seem to be against the rules so the more the better!

What up
Time for a ride

Jer and Jana went to see if the Easter bunny had left any "Money" eggs for the older kids and sure enough it did! In the meantime he found his first shed of the season.  Hey at least he found one I say.  I think the funniest part of the picture is him holding a Pepsi and and Easter basket in the other hand??? What the heavens,  it is funny to me for some reason

I love pictures of these two walking together.   James has the cutest little strut just like his pops. I got Chloe in action too she is on a mad dash to get all her eggs.  I think Parker was just there over looking things, he has graduated from the little kid hunt

This was so funny.  These two looked and looked and looked for an hour or more and were getting pretty frustrated about where their eggs could be.  We had to start giving them hints or we were NEVER going to make it back for supper. There was a total of $50 to be found in all and this one had the big prize of $20 in it so when they got close to it they started fighting each other to see who could grab it first.  Kenna walked away with a bunch of scratches on her leg and........
look who walked away with the money.... Better luck next year sister!

Work and Play

This boy loves being outside
I was starting to fall a little behind on my goal to post weekly it was stressing me out!  I wanted to get it done and I posted a little out of order.  This one was before conference, but it is ok.  At least I am gettin err done! Spring is def in the air, and the first chance we got to get outside and do a little clean-up we did.  This house hasn't had any TLC in years so we are doing our best.  I know the kids dread stuff like this, but it is seriously some of my favorite memories of my childhood.  My dad made us work and work hard in our yard when we were little and I am so grateful for that now.  We knew when dad was ready to do a "Maj" because he got us up with his whip crackin and didn't let us stop tell it was all done.  Our reward was always an order from the frostop of whatever we wanted.  I don't think food ever tasted as good as it did on those days! I mostly just loved the time I got to spend with my family while we did it and seeing the results of how good it looked when we were done. I can never spray off my driveway with a hose without thinking of my dad.... So I am carrying on the tradition of the "Cutler Maj" as much as I can. I hope my kids appreciate it someday as much as I do. The rest of this just some of the fun stuff that went on this week.  David and Taylor came up to spend one last sunday dinner with us before they take off for the summer.  They are going to Kentucky and this year Jana and Tate will be going with them.  I can't say I am not jealous of the new territory they will get to see, and all the fun times they will have, but I am SO GLAD we won't be doing that this year.  I am glad my hubby gets to stay here with us this summer, we are going to have a lot of fun! Good Luck to you cute little Vivint families anyways, we are cheering for you back home!
Trying to be happy about her chores

And there is Papa Bear teaching her the right way to do it

Practicing for baseball try-outs

posers
Our new Fav card game.... Golf.  Dave does not love it as much as we do. Jer loved his red hot candies. Me and Tay loved it all

He still hates it.  He is a sore loser... At least his wifey is smiling.

These two are not the most humble winners

One more group photo.

Conference Weekend

We decided to go up on Cedar Mountain for conference weekend this year.   We had the option of staying in one of the condos at Duck Creek, so we packed up the fam and headed up Saturday afternoon.  The weather was nice, we relaxed, watched conf, rode four-wheelers, went fishing, and had a yummy dinner.  On Sunday it snowed most of the day so we stayed in out of the cold.  I took the girls up to the cabin with me while I cleaned in between sessions and Jerry kept the boys and did boy things. (whatever that is).  I loved being up there in the mountains.  I loved General Conference and being in a cozy place with my family while the snow was falling right outside our window.  I thought it ended up a perfect get-away for us.  We love doing things outdoors and I can't wait to do more!
First thing Kenna wanted to do?!  Nap time
My little baking Buddies helping me make food for the weekend

So this is when he was laying down the ground rules for the weekend telling me how he gets to be in charge and he will make the decisions.... I just laughed and laughed and had to take a photo of him.  We will let him think that he is in charge :) I can't help but laugh at how serious he was!

Their room.  They had a blast

One of the many times Jerry got the wheeler stuck

Girlies
Fishin

Love this boy's smile!

He wanted to catch a fish so bad.  Every ten seconds or so he would ask "do I have one yet?"

watching a little conf

On the way home we spotted some dogs in the middle of nowhere and called the # on their tags to find out a family had been looking for them and had given up.  They were so happy.  James wasn't so happy, he was scared of them.  We all felt good about our good deed for the day
